| AV cables offer a far more optimal signal to RF and require no tuning in. In many cases they also provide stereo sound. While they do not offer the best image from consoles generally (see our RGB SCART section for that) some systems such as the NES do not offer anything better. They are also a popular cheap option for buyers who simply want a replacement cable for their older console, and do not see a pixel perfect image from a very old system as important. If you feel that crystal clear images of low resolution graphics gives off a "too blocky" picture, or you don't want to splash out on a SCART before ascertaining your system is still running smoothly, here's your solution. |
